Emerging Entrepreneurs Scholarship
The Emerging Entrepreneurs Scholarship offers a $1,000 award each semester to help one student cover educational expenses such as class materials, tuition, and room and board.
Eligibility:
-You must be working for, operating, or planning to start a small business.
-You must be enrolled at an accredited four-year college or university.
-You must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above.
-You must be a citizen of the United States.
-You must be at least 17 years of age.
Essay Prompt: As part of the application process, we ask that students write a short essay in response to one of the following prompts in roughly 500 words.
-Describe your involvement in a small business. What has the experience taught you about entrepreneurship in a competitive market?
-Explain your motivations for opening a small business. What drives you to pursue these goals, and what do you hope to achieve?
Judging Criteria:
-Is your essay easy to read and free of grammatical errors?
-Do you present a compelling narrative about your small business experiences?
-Do you clearly describe your involvement with a small business?
Once the deadline has passed, it will take us approximately four weeks to review applications and select our winner.
