Theodore Roethke Student Writing Award
This award recognizes talent in creative writing of fiction and poetry by undergraduate students at Saginaw Valley State University. To be eligible, students must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0, and must submit the following: a 750-1,000-word essay explaining their strength as writers and how the award could help them reach their goals; a portfolio of polished creative work, either up to six poems or twenty pages of fiction. Candidates must also demonstrate promise for continued growth and excellence in the field of Creative Writing.
