Wolgast Corporation

Wolgast Corporation

Wolgast Construction was founded in 1947 and is one of Michigan’s premier commercial construction companies. Today, Wolgast offers comprehensive progressive building services through specific divisions. Each division focuses on a field of specialty, including restaurants, retail, institutional, industrial/manufacturing, governmental, and commercial building projects.

Using this approach, Wolgast remains diversified, yet delivers specialized service for each project. The company offers services in general contracting, design/build, construction management, architectural, engineering, and development/privatization. Wolgast Contstruction changed its name to Wolgast Corporation in 2004. Wolgast has built a number of facilities on the SVSU campus, including the 1996 Doan Center Expansion, Founders Hall, the Student Center, and the Fitness Center.

The scholarship fund was established in 1996 to assist students pursing degrees in the College of Science, Engineering, and Technology at SVSU. The company continues to generously support the endowment fund so that more scholarship opportunities are available to SVSU students.
