“I was offered an early retirement from General Motors in 1991 and decided to accept it so that I could start Wineman Technology. I felt that with the knowledge and experience I had acquired in the manufacturing engineering field, that I could provide valuable service in the areas of engineering and building control systems, data acquisition systems, and test machines. I chose this business because my education is in electrical and mechanical engineering with more than 30 years of experience in manufacturing engineering and management positions that encompassed this type of equipment.The company has grown from just me, to 45 professional and skilled trades employees with expertise in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and programming engineering. Each project is a custom design and build which necessitates acquiring knowledge of the customer’s product features and designing to their specifications of performance.
