Ted Lind and Jenna Briggs

This scholarship is established by Ted Lind and Jenna Briggs to help support military and veteran students in honor of their fellow soldier and friend SSG William R. Wilson III. Jenna Briggs is Director of Graduate Admissions for SVSU. SSG Wilson, a native of Getzville, New York, was killed in action 26 March 2012 while serving in Afghanistan. SSG Wilson was assigned to A / 2-28, 3-66 Armor Battalion, 172nd Infantry Division, Paktika Province Afghanistan, Operation Enduring Freedom 2011-2012. This was SSG Wilson’s third combat deployment, with two prior deployments to Iraq. He was an exemplary soldier known for his leadership skills and for his dedication to his friends and family.
