Saginaw Business Incubator, Inc.

Saginaw Business Incubator, Inc., a non-profit organization, was established to promote and nurture the growth of new businesses founded by local entrepreneurs. The Saginaw Enterprise Center was to house a number of fledgling companies, providing them with space and administrative support in an environment of business synergy with other local entrepreneurs.

A number of civic-minded members of the Saginaw community, recognizing the importance of the successful growth of new business, and based on the reported success of business incubator programs in other communities, undertook the project of bringing such a program to Saginaw.

As the Saginaw Enterprise Center business incubator did not become a reality, the founders of this project wished to invest the remainder of private funds donated to the project in an alternative program to promote the future of Saginaw’s new businesses by preparing future entrepreneurs for success.

The endowment fund was first established in 2000 to support the development of courses and seminars in Entrepreneurship. In 2007, it was determined that the goal of the endowment fund would be best served by providing tuition assistance to junior and senior students enrolling in the entry course to SVSU’s Entrepreneurship Minor, Introduction to Entrepreneurship.
