Rick Goedert

Rick Goedert worked for years supporting the family business his parents, Bob and Marge Goedert, established. Among the many lessons of working for a family business, he learned values like hard work, honesty, and commitment to family, community, and customers. In 2004, still drawing on his family business experience but now entrenched in a banking career, Rick Goedert, along with several local business individuals, established 1st State Bank in Saginaw, Michigan. The startup bank was created with the mission of being a “bank for business”, serving businesses located in the Great Lakes Bay Region. Today, 1st State Bank and its dedicated team of bankers remains committed to its original mission, operating as a bank for business and serving businesses located in Saginaw, Midland, and Bay counties.
