Patricia Orr

Patricia Orr was a lifelong resident of Bay City. Mrs. Orr believes strongly in the value of a college education for women. Her father did not allow her to attend college, and it was not until she was 35 years old that she enrolled in college courses for training in business and management. By then, she was pursuing a successful career in the banking industry, advancing through on-the-job training and her classes at Delta College. During her distinguished career, Mrs. Orr trained dozens of young people as they entered the banking profession, which only enhanced her love for and commitment to education. Mrs. Orr chose to assist Saginaw Valley State University students as she had two daughters and a granddaughter-in-law who are alumni of SVSU.
