Joseph W. and Marjorie Carson Britton

The Special Gifts Committee of the Memorial Presbyterian Church of Midland began supporting scholarships for SVSU students in 1988. Mrs. Carson-Britton made a generous gift to the Church to establish a scholarship fund in 1994. The scholarship was renamed in recognition of her gift. The donors wish to help students who are working but would like to improve their opportunity for a better job through earning a college degree. The donors are especially interested in helping students who have been away from school for several years and are now returning to seek their degrees.
