Jim and Melissa Seitz

The Seitz Creative Writing Scholarship was created by Jim and Melissa (pictured) Seitz to acknowledge excellence in the writing of poetry and/or fiction. Melissa Seitz writes poetry and fiction and taught creative writing at SVSU. She earned her bachelor’s degree from SVSU and her master’s degree in creative writing from Michigan State University.

Jim Seitz retired from Dow Corning Corporation, and also worked in Advanced Technologies and Ventures Business. Mr. Seitz earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Michigan. They have one son, Matthew, who is a University of Michigan graduate.
