James R. and Anita H. Jenkins

James R. Jenkins is the retired Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Deere & Co. (John Deere) and the retired Vice President and General Counsel for Dow Corning. He remains active in the leadership of the American Arbitration Association/International Centre for Dispute Resolution. Anita H. Jenkins, who passed away in 2025, was a retired Tax Attorney for The Dow Chemical Company and was active in the Midland Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the Tri-City (MI) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated.

Together, Mr. and Mrs. Jenkins formed the James R. and Anita Horne Jenkins Family Foundation to support work in underserved and diverse communities, with a particular commitment to improving the health, welfare, education, and positive development of people of color, people with disabilities, and veterans. The Jenkins established a scholarship at SVSU to help students succeed and persist in their studies through graduation and the completion of their college degrees.
