James and Rosemary Hill

James K. Hill was a music teacher in the Essexville-Hampton schools for 30 years. Mr. Hill was a church musician for more than 40 years, serving as both organist and choir director. Mr. Hill has performed piano, organ, and recorder in a private music studio for 15 years. He passed away in 2014.

Rosemary Hill studied piano as a child and pursued her love of vocal music by performing in her high school choir and vocal ensembles throughout her life. Mrs. Hill was an elementary teacher in the Essexville-Hampton Schools for 34 years.

Both Mr. & Mrs. Hill shared a lifelong love of music, and wished to share their appreciation for it by assisting students seeking degrees in Music at SVSU. The scholarship fund was established in 2007.
