Hausbeck Family

Hausbeck Family

This scholarship is established by gifts from Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Hausbeck and the Hausbeck Pickle Company of Saginaw, Michigan, to encourage community involvement and academic excellence for students pursuing degrees at Saginaw Valley State University. The Hausbeck family is very dedicated to educating our region’s future workforce, and supporting the goals of students who plan to live and work in the Saginaw area. The scholarship is named in memory of Tim’s mother.

Three generations of the Hausbeck Family have been operating Hausbeck Pickle Company in the city of Saginaw since 1923. Hausbeck Pickle Company processes pickles as well as banana and jalapeno peppers for the fast food and food service industries. John Hausbeck was a second generation owner and President of the company and his son Timothy is a third generation owner and Vice-President. Tim’s wife Lori is involved in community relations and communications for the company. As times have changed and the business has grown, it has become increasingly important for those managing Hausbeck Pickle to have a college education. Timothy is a graduate of Michigan State University and Lori is a graduate of Western Michigan University. Since the company has always benefited from being in the city of Saginaw, the family is committed to helping to further the education of a worthy candidate who is a current and hopefully continuing resident of the city.
