Harvey Memorial Foundation

Albert S. “Sarge” Harvey II was the owner of Sarge Harvey Ford. Mr. Harvey served on the Board of Directors of Great Lakes Bancorp (now Independent Bank), was a past president of the Saginaw Club, and a trustee of the Harvey Foundation. Mr. Harvey also served on the SVSU Foundation Board of Directors.

Mr. Harvey’s son, A.S. Harvey III, is a trustee of the Harvey Foundation and guided them in establishing this scholarship fund in his father’ memory. Mr. Harvey was very committed to the value of education, and would be pleased to know that SVSU students were receiving help with their college expenses in his name. He passed away in January 2000, at the age of 70.
