Gregory and Helayne Brown

Dr. & Mrs. Brown, as parents themselves, realize how difficult it is for students to meet the expenses of a college education, and want to help students and their families facing financial challenges. The Gregory and Helayne Brown Annual Scholarship in Nursing was established to promote academic excellence and expand educational opportunities for dedicated Nursing students. The Browns hope to encourage and support a diverse group of students with financial need who have demonstrated the ability or potential to make positive contributions to the field of Nursing.

The Browns also wish to promote SVSU’s growth as a major institution in Michigan and encourage local students with high potential to remain in the Saginaw area after obtaining their degrees.

Dr. Brown practices Critical Care Medicine, Internal Medicine, Nephrology, and Pulmonology in Saginaw and Tawas City. He graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School with an M.D., and has been practicing medicine for more than 30 years.
