Glastender, Inc.

Jon D. Hall founded Glastender, Inc. in 1969 after inventing the world’s first rotary glass washer. Glastender’s product line continued to develop into numerous types of underbar equipment. Other products include mug frosters, slide-top freezers, Strippit Machines, ice display units, and more. The company’s original building contained approximately 15,000 square feet. Subsequent expansions due to the addition of more product lines and continued success have raised the complex’s square footage to approximately 124,000.

In the 21st Century, Glastender has added more new display units, sinks, and other related products. Still owned by Mr. Hall, Glastender is a family business with a deep commitment to their clients in the bar and food service industry. The Glastender team provides this scholarship to assist SVSU students, and also supports SVSU’s Stevens Center for Family Business, which provides resources to area business owners.
