Dr. Shiv K. Arora

Dr. Shiv Arora is Professor Emeritus of Marketing and Management at Saginaw Valley State University. He joined the faculty in 1977 and provided three and a half decades of distinguished service to the university, including duties as Chair of the Department.

Dr. Arora holds a Ph.D. and an M.B.A. in Marketing from Michigan State University. He earned an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan, a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and a B.S. in Chemistry and Mathematics from Agra University.

Dr. Arora specializes in marketing research, advertising, retailing, and international marketing. He taught courses in the Marketing and Management area including Business Policy and Ethics, and introduced a minor in Entrepreneurship at SVSU. He co-authored several articles in diversity such as Comparing Business and Non-Business Student Reactions to E-Mail, Teaching Ethics in Business Law and Legal Environment Courses, Students’ Reactions to E-Mail as a Diversity Management Tool.

Dr. Arora established the Shiv K. Arora Business Scholarship in 2006 to recognize and reward outstanding students in the Scott L. Carmona College of Business.
