Dr. Robert Maurovich, Mrs. Nancy Warner, and Mrs. Marguerite Warner
Dr. Robert Maurovich, his wife, Mrs. Nancy Warner, her mother, Mrs. Marguerite Warner, and their families support the University with contributions to the Maurovich-Warner Endowed Veterans Scholarship in memory of their family members who did not have the opportunity to obtain higher education, but were dedicated to and supportive of its importance.
They helped their children, nieces, and nephews to achieve academically, providing Catholic elementary and secondary school educations, and supporting them through baccalaureate and advanced degrees. Mrs. Marguerite Warner (who passed away in 2013), husband of James Warner and sister of Kathleen and John Todd, and Ms. Nancy Warner, daughter of James and Marguerite, niece of Kathleen and John Todd, and Dr. Robert Maurovich, husband of Nancy and son of Frances and Natale Maurovich, established this scholarship to honor the members of their family who had such a great positive impact on their education and future.
The scholarship fund was established in 2003 to assist students at SVSU in achieving their Bachelor’s degrees. Later, it was redirected to specifically assist veterans pursuing degrees at SVSU.
