Dr. Earl and Mrs. Jean Davis Warrick

Jean Davis Warrick was a native of Pennsylvania, born in 1917. She graduated from Indiana State Teachers College and taught high school business courses in Lancaster County, before moving to Midland. She married Earl Warrick, one of the founding members of the Dow Corning Corporation.

Dr. Warrick is the inventor of Silly Putty, and received over 40 patents in his career with Dow Corning. Dr. Warrick is a former Dean of the College of Science, Engineering, and Technology at SVSU.

The scholarship fund assists female students seeking degrees in the College of Business and Management at SVSU.
