Dr. Deborah R. Huntley & Mr. Alton F. Huntley

Dr. Deborah R. Huntley was a research scientist for 14 years at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Dr. Huntley joined the SVSU faculty in 1998. She received the Earl Warrick Award for Excellence in Research and was selected as a Rush Distinguished Lecturer 2006. Dr. Huntley has served as Dean of the College of Science, Engineering, and Technology, and is presently the Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Dr. Huntley’s husband, Alton F. Huntley, is an industry computer scientist. The Huntleys recognize the need for talented students in science-related fields, and established this scholarship fund in 2001 to encourage students at SVSU pursuing degrees in the sciences.
