Dr. Debasish Mridha and Mrs. Chinu Mridha

Dr. Debasish Mridha is a practicing neurologist in Saginaw who is on the Board of Directors for the Michigan State Medical Society and the Saginaw County Medical Society. Mrs. Chinu Mridha is the owner of Subho Management. The Mridhas are successful businesspeople in the area, and owners of the historic Montague Inn in Saginaw.

Mrs. Mridha’s management company, under her leadership, manages the Montague Inn. The Mridhas believe strongly in the value of education, and in creating opportunities for dedicated students who wish to pursue their education in the United States. “We want to bring students to SVSU and this community, where we have been so fortunate,” Mrs. Mridha said. “…we know that young people who are able to take advantage of this opportunity will receive a quality education at SVSU.”

The scholarship fund was established in 2007 to assist students students who demonstrate leadership, including those with an international background.
