J. William and Lorraine Miller founded CPI Engineering Services, Inc. over 35 years ago. The company is based in Midland. CPI maintains and operates a used lubricant analysis laboratory, including the following analyses: kinematic viscosity, total acid number, moisture level, particle count, spectrochemical analysis, and liquid chromatography. CPI’s research and development facility is located in Midland. The company has offices on every continent of the world, except for Antarctica. CPI is the major supplier of synthetic lubricants to the compressor OEM market. They are a leader in air compressor lubricants and refrigeration lubricants. CPI is also a leading manufacturer of specialty lubricants for chemical plant applications.
