Cliff and Juanita Dorne

Dr. Clifford and Mrs. Juanita Dorne established this scholarship in memory of Cliff’s father, Joel Dreiblatt Dorne, who served with the 5011 Military Police Company at the Prison Camp of Fort McCoy in Sparta, Wisconsin, guarding both German prisoners of war and American military stockade prisoners during World War II. During his distinguished career at SVSU, he served as Chair of the Department of Criminal Justice teaching courses in corrections, juvenile justice, criminology and history of organized crime. He has also served as Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Behavioral Sciences and then as Associate VP for Enrollment Management. Cliff served as Director of the Office of Institutional Research and then as University Registrar until his retirement in 2022.
