American Legion Post 22, Legion Riders and Sons of American Legion
The American Legion Post 22, Saginaw, Michigan, has been in existence since 1919. The post serves a variety of needs for the community and veterans including Honor Guard for funerals, and participation in flag lines with the Michigan Patriot Guard. The post also supplies equipment such as canes, walkers, and crutches for veterans and their families. The Legion provides youth programs, such as Student Trooper, Boy State, and Girl State, where young people learn the duties and responsibilities as State Troopers and related legislative procedures. The Legion is involved in many other service activities throughout the year, and strongly promotes Americanism for the Community, State, and the Nation.
The Legion Riders & Sons of American Legion of Post 22 is partnering with Saginaw Valley State University to provide an annual Scholarship for veterans. This scholarship fund is established with money raised by the Legion Riders and the Sons of the American Legion.
